BOXING.
MURRAY BEATS VOLAIRE. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. A crowded house witnessed a meeting between Les Murray and E. Volairc to-night, and the fight went the full fifteen rounds. It supplied one of the best contests seen here for some time. Murray was on the aggressive throughout, and obviously in superior condition. Volaire, although putting up a very plucky and clever battle, was tiring badly toward the end. Murray came up well for the final rounds, and gathered a well-re-ceived decision. Murray, as aggressor, was always showing to advantage, hut in some rounds the Frenchman showed up really well, and gave his opponent anything but a smooth pasage.
