fiflorrinsville Co-op. Dairy Co. For the convenience of the Tauhei suppliers to the above company, a meeting was held in the Tauhei .Hall on Saturday, May 3. Messrs McGausland (chairman of directors), Brown, Seifert and Goddos (directors), the secretary. Mr Faulkner, and the manager, Mr Addyman, were present with about 20 suppliers. Mr .1. Brown, Tauhei's representative on the board of directors, was in tin; chair. The chairman congratulated suppliers on the success that Hie small company had achieved to date. Mr McGausland (chairman of direotors) in addressing the meeting gave a brief resume of factory affairs since, the inauguration of the company. In dealing with the supply he. stated Ihe, directors were a little disappointed that their output, had not increased as much as ihey anticipated, pointing out several other companies whose output had increased rapidly during the last two seasons. The Morrinsville company had increased their output this year by 150 lons and the company could with very little extra cost, deal with a much larger supply and the directors were looking forward to an increase in Hie near future. The speaker explained that the initial expenses had been fairly heavy, but pointed out that this was only usual in starting a new venture. However, with the ?ood management they had both in the office and factory, the directors believed that the expense account would be much smaller hereafter. Regarding the pay-out, Mr McGausland said that, by making -good sales both at home and abroad be. was pleased to say the company could pay out Is 7d per lb for butter-fat to suppliers from July 1023 to January 1924. (Applause.) This, the speaker considered, was very satisfactory for the new company. Mr Seifert went fully into the financial side of Hie concern, and congratulated shareholders on the ex-' tremcly good position the company was in. Over £3OOO had been paid off the overdraft on the factory, office and manager's residence. Mr Seifert also dealt with Hie compay's scheme of cow finance for suppliers, and explained why the directors had passed over Hie Farmers' Auctioneering Go. and gone to Dalgety's L~{\. Manure had been obtained for shareholders at a considerable reduction, but it was delivered on a strictly cash basis. Mr Addyman (factory manager) congratulated Tauhei on the quality of its cream and staled it was the best sent in. Regarding grading the manager explained they only bad two grades, Ist and 2nd, and that the percentage of second grade was very small; also that the buller had graded very well. A number of questions were asked and satisfactorily answered. A vote of thanks to Hie chairman terminated a very successful meeting.
