FATAL BOXING BOUT.
MENDIES SUCCUMBS. United Press Association. SYDNEY, May 6. George Mendies, who was injured in a bout with Harry Gordon at the Sydney Stadium on Saturday, lias succumbed. Mendies was koncked out in the 15th round, and was taken to the hospital suffering from a hroken nose and concussion of the brain.
