NEW ATLANTIC RECORD.
The United States' liner, Leviathan, claims to have beaten the Maurolania's record run from Cherbourg to New York by 13 minutes.
The Leviathan reported an average speed of 24.17 knots. The time occupied on the voyage is given as 5 days 7 hours 20 minutes. The Mauretania holds the record for the Allantic, covering the "short course" from Daunt Lock to New York in September 1910, in 4 days 10 hours 48 minutes. ....
