NURSERYMEN CONFER.

SITTING AT PALRUERSTON. By Telegraph—Press Asiociation. PALMERSTON N., Friday. The conference of the New Zealand Association of Nurserymen concluded this morning. The Forestry Committee put forward the following resolution, which was endorsed by the conference: That in view of the promise given on several occasions by the Prime Minister that the State Forest Service would discontinue. competing with nurserymen as soon as they could supply sufficient forest trees at a reasonable price, and seeing that the trade has available large stocks of first grade trees which they are prepared to sell at the Government price, we respectfully request that the State Forest Service discontinue the sale of trees to the public in lots of loss than 1000.
