DAIRY CONTROL BOARD.

APPROVED CANDIDATES.

LOYAL SUPPORT URGED

In a circular issued to all dairyfarmers in connection with the eleclion of members to the. Dairy Control ’ Board, Mr W. Grounds, chairman of | the Dairy Control Committee, says:— | “The issues at stake are altogether | too great to run the risk of handing over its management to any who are out of sympathy with the aims and aspirations of the industry. Anyone who thinks it a diabolical proposal cannot be expected to get good work out of it In ordinary everyday affairs, if we have a job to be done, we do not select a man who says that it cannot be done and should not be attempted. Among the producers’ representatives on the Board there should be none with gloomy forebodings of impending disaster. To elect any of these gloomy prophets would be the surest way to provide for failure. We must not run these risks. If you elect a Board of sound men, energetic and eager to realise the possibilities they have foreseen in this Act, wc can guarantee to redeem all the promises that have been made. We are convinced of the inherent soundness of the measure and we appeal to you to support the candidates nominated by the Dairy Control Committee, each of whom can be depended on to strive to advance the interests of dairymen.” “Six members have to be elected for the North Island. Please note that all electors must vote for six members, no more and no less or the paper will be informal. The following have been selected by the Committee as a wide representation of the industry in the North Island: — K. Dalrymple, Bulls, Rangitikei. 11. D. Forsyth, Eltham, Taranaki. W. Goodfeflow, Hamilton. W. Grounds, Hokianga. W. A. lorns, Maryborough, Wairarapa. W. C. Motion, Waiuku, Auckland. Voting papers must reach Wellington by noon, December 13, which means they must be posted from Auckland not later than Monday, December 10. There is urgent need for the return of a capable and* loyal Board. Dairy farmers are urged to vote immediately. (Advt.)
