EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN.
COMPANIES TO MEET CLAIMS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. TOKIOf* October 1. The Japanese Insurance Association has announced its readiness to sacrifice themselves by paying the earthquake claims provided the continuation of business is assured. The extent of their capacity to pay will be determined after a consultation with the Government, which will be asked to assist the companies in me'eling the payments.
