RICH GOLD FIND.
ON KARANGAKAKE RANGE.
By Telegraph.—Special to Times WELLINGTON, Wednesday.
A rich find, which may develop into a very valuable field, is reported from the Karangahake-Te Aroha range. Mr 11. Poland, M.P., ip discussing mining prospects' in the Thames Valley with your representative to-night, . said there was a strong feeling among a large number of competent mining men in the Thames Valley that they are on the eve of an important discovery. From a great deal of prospecting good results are beginning to show. “There have not been any fresli discoveries in recent years," continued Mr Poland, "and naturally the mining industry is not very prosperous at present. The only mines being worked just now are the Waihi and Crown Junction."
