HAMILTON STOCK BALE. The Fanners’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Hamilton on Tuesday we had a small .entry of cattle and sheep. Beef was' slightly easier than" the previous week. Prime fat steers £l4 7s to £l4 17s; medium and light, £9 7s to £lO 7s; prime heavy fat cows and heifers, £ll 6a to £l3; others, £7 8s to £7 12s; fleshy, £4 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercanfilc Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report:—At Frankton yards yesterday the beef pens were again well filled with prime cattle, for which there iwas spirited bidding throughout, and tast week’s rates were easily maintained. A small entry of stores sold under good competition. There was only a moderate demand for sheep, and little business resulted at auction. We quote: Prime fat steers £ll 15/- to £l3 11/-, good fat cows £7 17/-, unfinished cows £4 5/- to £5 9/-, young store cows £2 G/- to £3 3/-, aged store cows £1 2/G to £1 10/-, 20-months-old Friesian heifers £4 6/-, yearling heifers £2 8/-, 3-year-old heifers at profit £lO 5/- to £l2 5/-, dairy cows £8 to £l2 15/-, fat ewes and wethers £1 15/-.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton Saleyards on Tuesday, October 2, as under:— There was a very small yarding of fat sheep. We sold prime fat ewes at 43/- and 43/G. A few store wethers yarded were passed at auction. Beef cattle were yarded in average numbers and sold at late rates. Prime ox sold at equal to 30/- to 32/- per 1001 b, prime cows at equal to 28/- per 1001 b, light superior -quality cows made £4 10/- to £7, extra heavy prime cows made up to £l2, medium quality bullocks £9 10/- to £ll 5/-, store 4-year-old bullocks made £5 15/-, store cows made 35/- to £3 5/-, inferior store cows 10/- to 32/-. Dairy cows made from £lO to £l3 for good cows, and £6 to £9 for medium quality, £3 to £5 15/- for inferior, good heifers made £lO to £l2 10/-, small £4 7/6 to £7.
