WESTFIELD MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday beef was penned in average numbers, competition being very keen, and we report a further advance in values. We quote: Extra choice oxen, to 33s per 1001 b; choice and prime, 2Ss to 32s 6d; plain and unfinished, 20s to 265; young cow and heifer beef, 26s to 30s; other -cow beef, 18s to 25s;.rough beef, 10s to 17s; no extra heavy prime steers were penned; heavy prime steers, £l3 7s Cd to £ls 12s 6d; medium prime steers, £ll 15s to £l3 ss; light prime steers, £8 10s to £ll 12s 6d; unfinished steers, £G 15s to £7 17s 6d; extra heavy prime cows and heifers, £9 10s to £lO ss; heavy prime cows and heifers, £8 to £9 7s 6d; medium prime cows and heifers, £6 2s Gd to £7 11s 6d; light prime cows, and heifers, £4 to £6; inferiorlyfatted cows and heifers, £2 10s to £3 15s. Sheep were penned in average numbers, and sold readily at late quotations. No extra heavy prime wethers were penned.
