The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer. Wednesday ..01 29 Thursday 59 32 Barometer. . Thursday 29.80 Friday 29.70 Yesterday was fair, with light westerly winds and cold night, the thermometer just reaching freezing point, 32 degrees. Mean temperature, 45.5 degrees. The barometer fell during yesterday, but has now a rising tendency. Indications are for generally fair weather, probably fair during the week-end, although indications are not certain. Winds from south and west, with cold nights.
Tho Weather Bureau wires: The Indications are for south-easterly winds, strong to gale at times. Tho weather will be cold and changeable. Rain probable, and the night will probably be very cold. The barometer has a rising tendency.
