HOSPITAL FOR TE KUITI.
APPORTIONMENT OF COST. The Waikato Hospital Board is empowered by a clause in the Washingup Bill to apportion the capital cost «r a maternity and cottage hospital at Te Kuiti between the Te Kuiti Borough Council and the Waitomo and Otorohansa County Councils. The capital cost is not to exceed £15,000. After deducting the Government subsidy the cost shall be apportioned as follows: —• Thirty-four and thirty-four hundredths per cent, to be paid by the Te Kuiti Borough Council, 52 and twelvehundredths per cent, by the Waitomo County Council, and 13 and flfty-four-hundredths per cent, by the Otorohanga County Council. The amount so apportioned shall constitute a debit payable to the board but, in the case of*Te Kuiti Borough Council, the sum of £1960 already paid shall.be taken into account. Any of the contiibutin o authorities may without a poll of ratepayers raise a loan for its share of the cost. ' If the Otorohanga County Council pledges' a special rate for its loan it shall bo made only over those lands within the county other than the town districts which previously formed part of the Waitomo County. Provision-is made for the payment of a subsidy.
