The Berlin correspondent of Uie Daily Chronicle understands that a scries of important meetings of the German Cabinet will be held during the week, at which the President, llerr Ebert, will preside, when German policy will .he completely revewed.
It is anticipated that Dr. Stresemann’s next speech to the main committee of the Reichstag, as soon as possible after the French reply to Britain, will deal outspokenly with the whole reparation problem on lines determined by the Cabinet. Dr. Stresemann intends to tolerate no conversations between French and German industrialists or others, and is determined to retain full control himself. PARIS, August 20. M. Poincare’s reply to the British Note will be handed to the Marquis of Crewe, British Ambassador, on Tuesday. The French Government will publish a Yellow Book on Wednesday containing both Lord Curzon’s Note and M. Poincare’s reply. It is understood that Belgium approves of the substance and form of the French reply.
