FOOTBALL AND STEELE PARK.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —My attention has been drawn to the complaint from the Hamilton Rugby Union to the Domain Board for being deprived of the use of the dressing sheds at Steele Park, owing to the League having a fixture there, and the inference that the latter had subscribed nothing towards the cost of erecting the sheds. As one of the prime .movers, and in fairness to the League officials, I should like to point: out that I approached them for a donation and they said they would ■willingly pay £ for £ in proportion to the number of Saturdays they had the use of the ground as compared to the B.ugby Union, but as sufficient donations of cash, material and labour to complote the job came forward so generously they were never again approached.—l am etc., 'S. J. RAWLINSON. Hamilton, August 15, 1923.
