ASSISTANCE FOR REPAIRS.

REQUEST TO MINES DEPARTMENT,
Cr. Alexander reported ’to the Waipa County at yesterday’s meeting that he had interviewed, while in Wellington recently, the Minister or Minos (Hon. G J. Anderson) in regard to assistance towards the cost of repairing the damage done on the Frankton-Whata-whata road by coal-carting. The Council decided to write to the Under-Secretary asking for a grant for this road as soon as possible and to point out that the repairs were urgent.
