PERSONAL.
Mr. Edwin Dennis will leave tonight for New Plymouth. Mr. J. Lucas, of Masterton is spending a holiday with his parents in Hamilton.
Second-Lieut. L. S. Wood (on probation) of the Waikato Regiment, has resigned his appointment.
Rev. Father Bleakley, who has been spending a short holiday in Auckland following an attack of influenza, has returned to Hamilton. Mr Robert Nelson, of Hamilton, has been appointed returning officer for the first election of members of the Waikato-West Coast Railway Board. Messrs W. S. Higginson and P. T. Kite are in Wellington attending the conference of the Post and Telegraph Oilicers, as delegates from the Wai-kato-King Country branch. Mr J. A. Arthur, stationmaster at Thames, has been appointed stationmaster at Paeroa in place of Mr J. J. Rowe, who has been transferred to Christchurch.
