ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

Richard Greene, aged 20, employed as a milker at Otaua r went for the cows this morning, and was found dead an hour later, lying face down in a pool of four inches of water. A body found in the harbour has been identified as that of John Farrington, a returned soldier, who has been missing from his home since Friday. He leaves a wife and children. He had been troubled over the purchase of a house and had talked of suicide.
James O'Connor, aged 60, married, was accidentally killed this morning at Newmarket. He was employed by the Borough Council in putting down concrete in a terrace just outside the railway station, and was wheeling a barrow across the railway line. He did not notice a train just leaving the station, and was struck by the engine. Half the length of the traia went over him, death being instantaneous. Tho body was badly mangled.
