HOSPITAL BUILDINGS.
A LOAN OF £32,000. DECISION BY THE BOARD. It was decided by the Waikato Hospital Board to-day to make application to the Public Trustee for a loan of £32,000, spread over a period of 21 years, at 6 per cent, and sinking fund of £2 IGs per cent. £GOOO of this loan will be available between the present date and March 31. A holding fee of 2 per cent will be payable on the £6OOO until uplifted. The secretary explained his negotiations for the loan when in Wellington recently, and added that the sinking fund of £2 16s per cent repaid the capital in the period named. The Board adopted a plan for additions to the isolation ward,; and the architect was instructed to obtain the approval of the Department. The building in question will be erected with part of the first portion of the loan to be lifted, while £ISOO of the £GOOO will be available for the Matamata Cottage Hospital.
