FIRES IN CANE BRAKES.
INCENDIARY AT WORK. United Press Association. Received August 6. 10.30 a.m. . BRISBANE, August G. Damage to the extent of £17,000 has been caused by tires in the caneflclds in ttic Mulgrave district. The police discovered a candle and rags saturated with kerosene in a field at Highlcigh, where a dozen fires were reported.
