KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
ACCIDENT IN VICTORIA STREET. On Saturday evening Mr Alfred Peacock, a Waikato Times office employee, was injured through being knocked down by a motor ear. Peacock was crossing- Victoria Street with a companion in the vicinity of the Post Office when, in endeavouring to evade one car he got in front of another. The car was travelling slowly at the lime. Peacock was knocked down and sustained injury to his head and one of his hands, while 'there was also a certain amount of shock occasioned. It is understood that the mishap was purely accidental.
