AGAINST UNION SECRETARY. i ' ' £l5O AWARDED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Saturday. Judgment was given by Mr Justice Salmond to-day in respect of a claim for £4OO alleged libel by Alfred Henry Chard against William Thomas Young, secretary of the Seamen's Federation. Judgment was given for plaintiff fox £l5O, the Judge expressing the •opinion that the allegations against plaintiff were of such a nature as to do serious harm to any man ambitious to hold office in an industrial union.
