The Channel steamer Caesarea, carrying 400 passengers for Southampton, struck a rock in a fog after leaving Jersey. The captain endeavoured to return to Jersey Harbour, but had to beach the vessel outside St. Helier's piers. The passengers MX&Q landed. A TOTAL WRECK. United Press Association.
