PENDING CHANGES. . ' Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, June 24. Despite other newspaper denials of pending Cabinet changes, the Daily Chronicle's lobbyist, who is usually well-informed, asserts that the Du'ke of Devonshire intimated his desire to be relieved of the Colonial Office portfolio before the Imperial Conference, hut hopes,to serve the State in another sphere. The Chronicle repeats that the Duke of Devonshire will probably succeed Lord Reading if the latter does not desire to complete his term in India.
