The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner; Thermometer: Saturday 50 33 Friday 50 35 Barometer. Monday 29.35 Saturday 29.55 Saturday was fair, with cold southerly winds; Sunday unsettled, with heavy rain showers. Mean temperature, 41.5 decrees. Barometer very low at 29.35. Indications are for unsettled weather, with heavy showers. Winds westerly, later becoming high and backing to west-south-west, when improved conditions may be expected.
The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale, and backing by west to south. Expect cold and damp weather. Heavy rain is to be expected. Barometer unsteady.
