ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

The schoolboys’ competition is now in full swing, and if any youngsters are anxious to join a team, and get In toucii with Mr Horace Toombs at the Technical School, Mr Toombs will be pleased to hear from them. Morrinsvilie have only to draw today against United to be certain of the local League Championship, but if United win, and they are quite capable of doing this, the position will be interesting, whatever happens. I stllli think Morrinsvilie will be the leaders when the League matches are finished. There are still ticket-sellers for the recent Brown Shield match who have not sent along their returns, and Mr Mawson would like to have the matter squared up now. I saw the Waihou team for the first time in action this season last Saturday, and was pleased to have the opportunity of witnessing their match against United. Dick Lewis struck me as being one of the best left halves in the local clubs this season. There ' are, however, too many passengers in the playing ranks, for the team to be champions, but what they lack in skill they make up in enthusiasm, and 1 fully expect them to beat Wanderers B to-day on their own pitch. I understand that a movement is on foot to raise a Soccer club in Claudelands. The more the merrier. United will be without the services of Jack Hoy for a few weeks. I understand that he is still suffering from injuries spstained in t[ie Brown Shield match. Arrangements are proceeding with the loctL ■»ssocialion and the New Zealand Council ior the visit io Hamilton of the Chinese Universities’ Soccer team. The match, however, is not expected to eventuate until well on towards the end of the season.
