Delorme was placed in an insane asylum, pending a new trial. He contends that he is sane and innocent. NEW YORK, June 20. Another big Stock Exchange Arm and banking house, that of Zimmerman and Co., have announced its suspension after 91 years' operations. It is almost as important as that of Knauth, Nachod and Kuhne, which was announced a day or two ago, in which the liabilities were computed at 11,000,000 dollars. Ley, Minister of Justice, has announced that he is submitting a scheme to the Cabinet with the object of protecting the public against companies that are not bona-fide, under which a public officer will investigate and report on the prospects of the' company. MELBOURNE, June 21. The Minister of Customs (Hon. A. Chapman) has announced that it has been decided to impose a dumping duty on South African maize, as importation is detrimental to Australian maize. PERTH, June 21. Three bodies, clad only in singlets, were seen floating nine miles off land by. some fishermen near Busselton. The police arc patrolling the coast, believing that they may be from the ill-fated Trcvcssa. BRISBANE, June 21. An inquiry into the supposed loss of the steamer Douglas Mawson has opened. Expert evidence was given that the ship was in perfect order before' she sailed -from Brisbane.
