The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer: Thursday .... 50 35 Friday ...... 50 35 Barometer. Friday 29.40 Saturday 29.55 Barometer rising. Indications are for generally fair weather during the next 48 hours, with west to north-west winds, and cold nights. Yesterday was unsettled, 0.1 i points of rain falling. Winds were northerly. Mean temperature 41 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but southerly strong winds to gale at times. The weather will probably prove cold and showery, and the night very cold. The barometer has a rising tendency.
