“Hematite,” Hamilton.—lf your hematite is yellow in colour you cannot produce chocolate colour from it. If red, add sufficient vegetable black until chocolate colour is reached. Mix with raw linseed oil with sufficient terebenc for drier at the rate of half and half. Put on very thin, and, when drd, varnish. Vere Richards.—You should lay the matter before the Union.—Ed. W.T.
