SUICIDE ON LOSS OF DOG.
The loss or her pet dog caused Jane Borwick, 50, the wife of a Southport cab-driver, to take her life by gassing herself, according to evidence at the inquest, when a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was roturned. Slid left a letter for her husband in which, slid wrote: “I cannot stand the strain of Vic (the dog) any longer, i cannot bear to sec the kennel empty and Dickie (the canary) looking for her.’’
