Love, chairman of the Vic» torian branch of the Wireless Institute ) and Trans-Pacific Committee, at a meeting of the Institute, announced the results of American tests. He said the distance averaged 13,800 mibis on short wave length and low power. There were twenty-three stations involved, yet a message despatched on May 17 was word perfeot. Mr R. Hull, who conducted tests in New Zealand, stated the tests were eminently suocessful. Two-way communications could be employed. The messages were clear as those from commercial stations, which were 1000 miles nearer, and using 150 times the power. Mr J. Court, a delegate to the broadcasting conference, said a movement was on foot to contest the proposed regulations, and if it were successful the regulations would .be revised.
