The press gives prominence to reports of a conversation which General von Hindcnburg had with an American, Captain McMahon, in which he declared: “We will have revenge on France, if wo have to wait a hundred years. History repeats itself. My most ardent desire would be to take up arms against the -French who to-day are sowing seeds of hatred, which will produce a terrible harvest,”
