BUTTER AND CHEESE.
LONDON MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., advise having received the following cable from their head office, London, under date Hie 17 th instant; — Butter. —Market weak. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for April were 427,000 cwt., as compared with i3GD,OOOcwt., for the corresponding period last year. We quote; N.Z. hotter, salted, 1425; Australian G.A.Q., 130 s; Danish, 1565; finest Australian, salted 138 s, unsalt.cd 140 s. Cheese. —Market dull. White and coloured 90s, Canadian price 86s 6d c.i.f. Messrs Dalgety a.nd Company, Ltd., are also in receipt of the following cable from their head office, London, dated 18th instant: —Butter; Since our last wire New Zealand butter, is 2s lower.
