, (By "Niblick.") The Waikato Winter Show tournament wil lbe played' on ' Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 23rd, 24th and 25th May. The chief event is the match play competition for the Winter Show Cup. This is a"knock-out handicap competition, in whioh all competitors have <a chance. The cup has never been won by a Short handicap player. It was first won by N. R. Jacobsen, who was then on the 20 mark. Since then it has been won by Nelson, of Cambridge, Waller, of Auckland, Rees, of Auckland, and is at present held by Tom- Simpson, of Hamilton. Apart from the cup competition there will be medal and bogey matches.
