"PURSUANT to the provisions of the Counties Act, 1020, and the Local Elections and Palls Act, 1908, and Amendments thereto, I hereby give notice that the undermentioned nominations have this day been received by me for the various Ridings of the County of Piako. Te Pol Riding—Arthur James Davis, Charles Alexander Stopford. Putaruru Riding—Edward Joseph Darby, Samuel Charles Snell. Peria Riding—Harry Rollett. Tirau Riding—James Wm. Anderson. Okoroire Riding—William Henry Allen. Tokoroa Riding—Kenneth Seymour Cox. Karapiro Riding—John Perkins Keeley. Maungatautari Riding—Sydney Hamilton Judd. As the number of Councillors (1) required for each Riding is not exceeded in the Peria, Tirau, Okoroire, Tokoroa, Karapiro, and Maungatautari Ridings, ' I hereby publicly declare Harry Rollett, James William Anderson, William Henry Allen, Kenneth Seymour Cox, Johns Perkins Kecley, and Sydney Hamilton Judd duly elected as members of the Matamata County Council, and as the number of Councillors (1) required for each of the following ridings—Matamata, Te Poi, and Putaruru —is exceeded, "an election will be hold on WEDNESDAY, the 9th day of May, 1923, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., at the following Polling Booths; — Matamata Riding—Matamata Public Hall.
