The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:
Barometer low with Tailing tendency, but rising in the near -future. Cyclonic conditions cover the Dominion. The low pressure area which is passing in a north-easterly direction will probably disperse within the next 48 hours, when Improved weather conditions may be expected, with high westerly winds and lower temperature. Yesterday was unsettled with northerly winds and occasional rain showers amounting to 0.26 inches, mean temperature Go.sdeg. The Weather Bureau wires:—The indications are for light and variable winds, but south-easterly prevailing shortly. Tho weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to bo expected.
