THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermoueter readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:
Barometer: Wednesday 30.30 Thursday 30.30 Yesterday was fair, with light southerly wands > and fog in the early morning. Mean temperature, 49 degrees. Barometer steady at 30.30. High pressure evidently covers the Dominion, and anti-cyclonic conditions are likely to continue for some days. Indications are for fair weather during the next 48 hours, with light south to south-west winds and cold nights.
