SWIMMING CARNIVALS.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS.

AN ENJOYABLE FUNCTION. The Hamilton Municipal Baths building was the scene of much gaiety.yesterday afternoon, when the Hamilton High School girls held their annual swimming sports before a large attendance of friends and pupils, including the Sonning School girls. Mr J. A. Young, M.P. for Hamilton, and several members of the High School Board of Governors were amongst those present. The afternoon passed off very enjovablv and some interesting racing and displays of diving were witnessed. Appetising afternoon tea served by the lady members of the school staff and the'pupils added to the pleasure of the function. Following are the results:— Junior Handicap, 33 l-3yds First heat: M. The School cup was won by Muriel McLachlan with 13 points to her credit, Nellie McMiken being runner-up with a total of 12 points, with Eileen Gane, 10 points, third. The junior cup was also won by M. McLachlan, who scored the possible, 20 points, I- Fow being second with 12 points.

SONNING SPORTS. The Sonning Girls' Swimming Sports were held in the Municipal Baths. The weather was ideal, and a most enjoyable 'afternoon was spent by both the visitors and the children.
