The New Zealand Cricket Council asked tije Otago Association to express an ; opinion concerning the council’s action in allowing the Otago* Wellington match to be abandoned. The Association decided to ' reply that it considered the council acted wisely in the circumstances, but was of opinion that the rules governing the Plunket Shield competitions should be revised, and provision be made for such a contingency as arose.
