N.Z. SPORTING REVIEW.
A SUPERB PICTORIAL ISSUE, This week's issue of the N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review surpasses anything yet attempted in the pictorial line. It is indeed an Illustrated number par.excellence. An outstanding photographic achievement is the double page group of well-known patrons at the summer racing carnival at Gisborne, a feature which should prove a popular draw from its unique nature. The motor sports at Muriwai occupy two full pages of thrilling phases of the principal races, giving an indication of the high speed attained. The American athletic events at the Domain are also covered in a striking series, while a further set of snapshots at the motor cycle races at Takapuna also appears. Considerable space is devoted to the revue "Helter Skelter," recently produced in Wellington, showing performers and scenes. The Dannevirkc races, the unveiling of the soldiers' memorial at Whangarei. Miss Massey's wedding, Miss Lee White, stage and society photographs and overseas pictures of wide interest are included in one of the best numbers ever seen in the;Southern Hemisphere. The paper is on sale at all newsagents and booksellers.
