THE WAIKATO SHOW

PEOPLE’S DAY

A LARGE ATTENDANCE

Not for years has the Waikato A. and P. Association been favoured with the glorious weather that has marked both days of its 31st annual show, which is at present, being held at Claudelands. The day has been proclaimed a general' holiday throughout the district, and tempted by glbrious sunshine the people have flocked out ip their thousands. The country districts have contributed a very large quota to the congregation which v at. present fills the grounds, where the scene is one of great colour and animation. After a cursory view of the stock most show visitors, unless they are closely interested in some special feature, look around for whatever fun they can get, and the side-shows, which are greater in number this year than formerly, are providing plenty of amusement as they extract the nimble shilling fronß the pockets of the only too gullible crowd. The band of the 16th Waikato Regiment is in attendance and helps to enliven the proceedings with selections. The catering at the show this year is quite superior to that of former shows, a point that is much appreciated by the general public.
