STREETS RENAMED
HAMILTON ALTERATIONS.
The Hamilton Council decided last night to re-name the following streets in the borough:—
Queen Street to Barton Street; Grey Street to Heaphy Terrace from Sillary Street to the old dividing line between Hamilton and Claudelands areas; Richmond Street in Frankton area to Ellis Street; Edgecumbe (or New) Street in the - Frankton area to Mill Street; Nixon Street (Claudelands) to Bond Street; Firth Street (Claudelands) to Whyte Street; Kiwi Street to Parr Street; Clifden Road to Arawa Street.
It was also decided that when subdivisions of land are made Involving new streets, the persons subdividing be required to submit for the approval of the Council the proposed names for the streets required.
