LEAGUE FOOTBALL
SOUTH AUCKLAND’S TOUR, TEAM LEAVES' TO-NIGHT. By to-night’s express from Frankton the South Auckland team of league football representatives will leave for the south, where it will play a programme of three matches. There will be 25 in the party, of which Messrs F. T. Wilson and St C. Macdonald will act as managers. The first game will be played against Wellington at Palmerston North on Wednesday next. Two gamos will he played against Hawke's Fay, the first at Napier on Saturday md the second at Hastings on Wednesday, September J 3. There have bem some depletions from the team orignally chosen. W. Wilson (Low6r Waikato), S. Neil and J. Hemmingway (Hamilton), and McMillan (Cambridge’, are unable to tour and Whelan (Ifanilton), McMurtrie (Cambridge) and R. Mahuta (Lower Waikato) have bem selected to travel, With a fourth mar also to be selected.
