SUICIDE IN GAOL
A MORRINSVILLE SENSATION.
By Telegraph—Special to Times. MORRINSVILLE, Monday
'Lewis Rollinds, G 4 years of age, who was arrested at Morrinsville on Ihe 24th inst. on a 'charge of indecent 'assault, and was incarcerated in the Morrinsville lock-up, was found dead this morning, having committed suicide by hanging. The man was last seen alive by Constable Jackson at 11 o'clock last night, and was found by Ihe constable about 7 o'clock this morning hanging from a rope made from his blanket and shirt. Deceased had evidently used his seafaring knowledge in splicing the rope. According to medical opinion he had been dead about four hours. Deceased was of no fixed abode.
