DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. By Telegraph.—Press Association. THAMES, Monday. An elderly man named John Morris Levin died in the Thames Hospital this morning from heart failure, when under tho effects of an anaesthetic. Deceased was 68 years of age. He had. been under treatment at the Thames Hospital for heart and abdomen trouble. It was found necessary to perform an operation, but he died under the anaesthetic. Later. An inquest was held on James Morris Levin, aged 68, who died at the hospital under an anaesthetic. Deceased Wits painting at Hikulaia School on August 7, and when titling an oil drum was taken ill, and died under an operation. Medical evidence was given that death was due to heart failure, due to fatly degeneration. A verdict was returned accordingly. Deceased belongs lo Mt. Eden Road, Auckland. DEATH IN SHOW GROUNDS. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Annie Donaldson, aged 40 years, a single woman, was found dead in the Lceston showgrounds.
