The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:— Barometer! Monday 29.65 Tuesday 29.40 Thermometer: Saturday .... 64 40 > Monday .... 60 42 Yesterday was unsettled, with thunder storms and heavy rain showers. x Winds were northerly. Mean temperature 51 degrees. The barometer has fallen from 29.65 to 29.40. A very low reading. Indications are for unsettled weather, with cyclonic conditions, accompanied by heavy rain showers and high winds, mostly from north to west, later from west and south and clearing. The Weather Bureau wires:— The indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale. The weather will probably prove squally with heavy showers, and the night will probably be very cold. Barometer rising.
