STRONG CONDEMNATION. DIRTY, FILTHY, UNATTRACTIVE 'By Telegraph.—Press Association',. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Mr H. D. Vavasour, of Marlborough, who has just returned from Englanu, strongly supports what Mr Stuart Wilson and others hate already said about the disgraceful way New Zealand produce is treated in England. He says our meat literally slinks in the nostrils .of the public owing to the way it is handled, and our trade is in downright disrepute. The people have no means of ascertaining where Ihe New Zealand produce ran be obtained, which is in marked contrast lo |he methods of other countries: also, our goods are presented to the public in a dirty, filthy, and mpstVinallractive stale. Ha,urges a G-overnnn-nl system of grading and branding, and the appointment of a man of high commercial ability at a salary to attend In Iho country's business interests. Mr Vavasour also lifts his voice against I lie American Meat Trusts, and expresses astonishment at any farmers supporting Armour and Co.
