IMMIGRANTS' RECEPTION
(By Teleerraph.—Press Association). NELSON, Friday. The Diocesan Synod discussed the alleged unfair conditions regarding tiie reception of immigrants by representative clergy, and carried a resolution, "That t'ns Synod enters an indignant protest and demands that representatives of the Church of England be granted die fullest facilities for hoarding immigrant vessels on arrival, so that the clergy of the different districts to which immigrants are being sent may be notified immediately."
