SWIMMING
* Y.IW.C.A. CLUB. The annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Amateur and Life Saving Club was held on Tuesday evening The annual report was satisfactory considering the club had such a short season last year, and the treasurer's report showed a credit balance. The following officers were elected for the coming season:—Patron, Mr J. R. Fow; president, Mr A. B. Collier; vicepresidents, Dr Joseph, Messrs E. H. Northcroft, T. L. Hamcs, W. A. Beoslon, W. Choate; chairman, Mr R. P. Staples; executive committee, Messrs R. P. Staples, F. Empson, J. Mackenzie, A. Adams; lion, secretary and treasurer, pro tern., Mr 11. Hyde; auditor, Mr E. G. Johnson; handieapper, Mr F. Empson. The election of other sport officials was left over. A hearty vote of thanks was carried to Messrs H. W. Bennett (retiring secretary), T. Johnson, W. T. Matthews and B. O. Johnson for their services during the past season. There arc quite a number of new members waiting for the season to open.
