POPLAR ALDERMEN
NO DISRESPECT INTENDED. Received October 13, 9 a.m. LONDON, October 12. The Poplar councillors have filed an affidavit before the King's Bench, disclaiming any wish to treat the Court With disrespect, also thai they are anxious to attend a conference, to consider the financial difficulties of the situation, and will spare no efforts to make the conference a success. The Chief Justice released thern, expressing the hone that they would not disregard their statutory duties.
