GERMANY AND BUSINESS
"WHEN THE TRADE EMBARGO IS REMOVED." New Zealand tradespeople are being bombarded with circular letters from German firms, who evidently anticipate that Australia and New Zealand will soon follow the example of England and lift the embargo at present in force on the importation of German goods. One firm, "which formerly had an extensive connection with the Commonweal til and New Zealand." states that their showrooms in London have recently been visited by a number of people from Ihis part of Ihc world, who "were greatly impressed with the qualify and variety of (he goods displayed . . . and even went so far as to place provisional orders which will he confirmed immediately the trade embargo on German goods has been removed. . . All goods arc supplied at original factory prices, as in former years, and no extra profits are put on. . . P.S. —Above refers to German goods only, but, of course, 1 am also holding agencies for British and other European makers."
